One from the archive. In June 2006, the unique Cotswold Rail HST, led by power car No 43070, arrives at Telford working an excursion to York (which I then joined for a bash!)

Great success!

It was fantastic to see my article published in Rail on the 11th of February, I was very pleased with how the team at Rail had paginated and used my photos, the feature ran to 6 pages.

I am already well on to researching the second part and this will hopefully be published in the not too near distant future.

I was invited to see a little bit of history on Tuesday 10th February, when the first test train arrived at the site hauled by immaculate DRS Class 66, No 66431. It was fantastic to have access to the whole site with my camera as the "Shed" trundled up and down all the freshly laid sidings with a couple of containers in tow, testing and gauging all the trackwork. It was also great to see the smiles on the faces of the Telford & Wrekin Council project team who have worked so hard to make the terminal a reality.

I'm hoping some of my photos like the one above make it into the railway press, along with the short news item I produced. Both have already appeared on Ian Furniss's excellent http://www.wnxx.com/ site.

I also have other articles on different subjects in the pipeline with various railway magazines, so it's looking like I'm going to be busy along with the work I'm doing with Harper - bring it on!
